This project was completed for a beachside resort that wanted to improve the comfort and appearance of the outdoor verandas attached to their guest rooms. The resort was a beautiful tropical property with stunning views of the ocean, but the guest verandas were exposed to direct afternoon sun, sea breeze and occasional rain. Guests were finding the verandas too hot and bright to use during the afternoon and were staying inside their rooms instead of enjoying the outdoor space. The resort management wanted a blind solution that would make the verandas comfortable and usable at all times of day while also adding to the natural, tropical look and feel of the property. Ekle blinds are made from natural areca palm and are one of the best choices for coastal and outdoor locations in Sri Lanka.
